Scripture - Philippians 3:10,11
That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, becoming conformed to his death; if by any means I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.
Devotion
The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the cornerstone of our faith. It is through His victory over death that we find hope, life, and purpose. The power of the resurrection is not just something that happened over 2,000 years ago; it is alive and active in us today. Paul, in Philippians, expresses a deep desire to experience the power of Jesus’ resurrection. This isn’t merely about the hope of eternal life; it’s about the transformative power of Christ that changes us here and now. Jesus’ resurrection means that we are no longer slaves to sin, fear, or death. We have been given new life. As we live in this power, we are also invited to identify with Christ in His sufferings. Following Jesus doesn’t mean we won’t face challenges, but it does mean we can experience His resurrection power in the midst of those challenges. This is a power that sustains, strengthens, and renews.
Prayer
Jesus, thank You for the power of Your resurrection. Help us to live each day in the strength that You provide, knowing that we are no longer bound by sin or fear. Empower us to walk in the newness of life You’ve given us. In Your name, Amen.
