GOD IS LOVE

JOHN 3:16 “For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.”

v17: “God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him.”

v18: “There is no judgement against anyone who believes in him. But anyone who does not believe in him has already been judged for not believing in God’s one and only Son.

THE MESSAGE SAYS IT LIKE THIS:

v16: “This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life.

v17: “God didn’t go to all the trouble of sending his Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was.

He came to help, to put the world right again.

Maybe you’ve heard these words before. What a terrible person you are.

  • Father/mother/brothers/people telling you how bad you are.

  • Maybe something happened in your life, something went wrong and you told yourself you’re a terrible person.

  • The devil wants you to keep believing how bad you are.

When you keep thinking you are a bad person, that is how you begin to live.

You live your thoughts. Whatever is in your thoughts, is how you will live.

Remember what verse 17 says:

v17: “God didn’t go to all the trouble of sending his Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was.

He came to help, to put the world right again.

THAT IS EXACTLY THE REASON GOD SENT HIS SON TO EARTH. BECAUSE HIS THOUGHTS ABOUT US ARE GOOD.

2 Cor 5:17 “This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!”

God wants us to change our heart and our lives. That is His heart for your life.

(Read Luke 15 from verse 11 onwards, it is about the lost son  who came home.)
