GRACE

HOW CAN WE EVER UNDERSTAND HOW BIG GOD’S GRACE FOR US IS?

GRACE

Ephesians2:8 “God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God.”

HOW CAN WE EVER UNDERSTAND HOW BIG GOD’S GRACE FOR US IS?

To be a child of God is nothing but grace. You can’t work for it. There are no works that can guarantee your ticket to heaven. When you hear the word of God (or someone talks to you about Jesus) and you understand your sinful nature and you call out to God to change your life. That is when He comes and changes your life, then you become a child of God.

Remember this important verse in Acts 2:21 “But everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved”

Well, that is exactly how it happens, within moments the Lord comes and changes your life, forgives your sins and you become a child of God.

THAT IS GRACE.

We cannot work for is or earn it, not forgiveness nor grace or mercy.

Someone once explained grace like this:

After giving his heart and his life to Jesus, his whole life changed. People asked him to explain this change to them. He calmly bent down and picked up a worm, he placed the worm on a small pile of leaves and set the leaves on fire. The flames quickly reached the centre of the leaves where the worm was lying helpless, unable to do anything about the fire surrounding it. The man reached into the flames and grabbed the worm, holding it safely in his hand he said: ‘I am this worm and just like i did, God swooped in and saved me with His grace and mercy.’

Not many understand the word grace or mercy. If only they understood the price Jesus paid on the cross, for each and everyone one of us. If we understood the magnitude of that price, that sacrifice, everyone would instantly run to Him and be saved.

People farm with cows or sheep, and a lot of other things, but the God who loves you so dearly. He farms with grace. His grace is available to you, even today.

When you understand that you, just like that little worm, can be saved from the fire and your life changed.

  • You will talk differently

  • You will live differently

  • You will think differently

WHY?

Because you are forever changed.

2 Cor 5:17 “This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!”

Another explanation:

2 people are sitting outside and chatting. The next moment a dirty beggar passes by. The first person says to the second, “How glad am I that I am not as filthy as that beggar”. After a while the second person answers him, that filthy beggar used to be me, but the person sitting across from you today has been saved through grace alone.

Paul says in 1 Cor 1:31 “Therefore, as the Scriptures say, ‘If you want to boast, boast only about the Lord’.

GRACE, GRACE, GRACE

We must never forget who we where and where we come from. That which we now have is given to us by Jesus through His Grace.
